MANOWAR: Date Announced For KALIAKRA ROCK FEST Appearance

December 28, 2007

According to Bulgaria's Focus News Agency, MANOWAR has been confirmed to perform next year's Kaliakra Rock Fest, which is scheduled to take place July 4-6 in the town of Kavarna. MANOWAR will perform on July 5, with "many interesting headliners" expected on July 4 and July 6, Kavarna Mayor Tsonko Tsonev told the Focus News Agency. By the end of January it will be known whether another world-famous group will visit Bulgaria. Tsonev, however, refused to reveal the name of the band. If the artist agrees to appear in the country, the capital will host a grand concert, Tsonev promised.

MANOWAR's appearance at next year's Kaliakra Rock Fest was originally confirmed by bandmembers Joey DeMaio and Eric Adams during a December 1, 2007 press conference in Sofia, Bulgaria. Tickets went on sale on December 20 and cost 45 euros for the entire three-day event. The first 500 fans who bought tickets received a special gift — MANOWAR's brand-new DVD "Live in Bulgaria - Kaliakra Rock Fest 2007".

"Live in Bulgaria - Kaliakra Rock Fest 2007" was released earlier in the month via Joker Media, and features MANOWAR's June 30, 2007 concert in Kavarna. The track listing for the effort is as follows:

01. Call to Arms
02. Sun of Death
03. Screams of Blood
04. Each Dawn I Die
05. Fighting the World
06. Blood of My Enemies
07. Kings of Metal
08. Die for Metal
09. Thor (The Powerhead)
10. Metal Warriors
11. Mila Rodino (Bulgaria's national anthem)
12. Hail and Kill

The DVD also includes footage of the suport bands that performed in Kavarna — HOLYHELL and SIXTH SENSE.
